We carry out a calcium carbide moisture test at the free home visit and, where readings are elevated, apply a float-down DPM before fitting. Glue-down LVT is the right long-term answer for these ground floors — fully waterproof, dimensionally stable, and available in premium formats that suit the scale of these generous rooms.
For large-footprint UFH ground floors we specify either LVT glued direct to the screed or engineered oak rated to the system's surface temperature — typically confirmed at a maximum of 27°C at floor level. We provide full compatibility documentation with the quote. Click-lock floating systems are not suitable above wet UFH and are not something we would fit in these conditions.
