Floors & Fix ("we", "us", "our") is a flooring supply and installation company operating across Berkshire and Surrey. These Terms & Conditions govern all services provided by Floors & Fix. By accepting a quote or commissioning work, you agree to be bound by these terms.
We offer a free, no-obligation home visit to measure up, show samples and discuss your requirements. Attending a home visit does not commit you to placing an order. We ask that you give us reasonable notice (at least 24 hours where possible) if you need to rearrange.
All quotes are provided in writing following the home visit and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Quotes cover supply of materials, fitting, uplift and disposal of existing flooring, and door trimming as detailed. They do not cover any sub-floor preparation beyond minor levelling — if significant preparation work is required, this will be discussed and priced separately before any work begins.
We reserve the right to revise a quote if the scope of work changes materially from what was agreed, or if access to the property is more restricted than anticipated. Any revision will be communicated to you before work proceeds.
An order is confirmed once you have accepted our written quote and we have received your deposit payment (see below). Materials are ordered specifically for your job; once ordered, we cannot accept cancellations on made-to-order or cut goods.
We require a deposit of 50% of the total job value upon confirmation of order, with the remaining balance due on the day of completion. We accept bank transfer and cash. We do not currently accept credit or debit cards.
Where materials need to be ordered in advance, the deposit covers the cost of materials. If you cancel after materials have been ordered, you may not be entitled to a full refund of the deposit — please see the Cancellation section below.
You may cancel your order within 14 days of confirmation, provided materials have not yet been ordered. In this case your deposit will be refunded in full within 14 days.
If materials have already been ordered at the time of cancellation, we will refund your deposit less the cost of any materials that cannot be returned to our supplier. We will provide a written breakdown of any deductions.
If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice of the agreed installation date, we reserve the right to charge a call-out fee of £75 to cover lost time and travel.
We will carry out all work to a professional standard using appropriate materials and techniques. We will take reasonable care of your property during installation and will clean up fully before leaving.
We are responsible for ensuring that the flooring is fitted correctly. We are not responsible for defects or issues arising from the manufacture of materials — any such issues are subject to the manufacturer's warranty, and we will assist you in making a claim where appropriate.
All installation work carried out by Floors & Fix is covered by our fitting guarantee. If any aspect of the fitting — including seams, joins, transitions or edging — is found to be defective within 12 months of installation, we will return to remedy the issue at no charge, provided the defect is due to our workmanship rather than damage caused after installation or normal wear and tear.
To make a claim under the fitting guarantee, contact us as soon as you notice the issue. We will arrange a visit within a reasonable timeframe.
You are responsible for ensuring the property is accessible at the agreed time and that the rooms to be fitted are cleared of furniture and personal belongings before our team arrives. If rooms are not clear and this causes significant delay, we reserve the right to charge additional time at our standard day rate.
Sub-floor conditions are your responsibility. We will advise on any issues we find, but we are not liable for problems arising from a defective sub-floor unless we specifically agreed to address it as part of our quote.
Our total liability to you in connection with any work carried out will not exceed the total amount paid by you for that work. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including loss of use or inconvenience, except where this is caused by our negligence.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. The terms in force at the time you place your order are the terms that apply to that order.
