Yes — the Nine Elms and Battersea Power Station residential developments are a regular part of our work in SW11. These buildings use concrete decks with underfloor heating set in screed. We always test the screed for residual moisture and confirm UFH compatibility before specifying. Glue-down LVT is the standard choice for UFH concrete substrates; wide-board engineered oak can also work where the screed moisture content is within tolerance.
The Victorian semis and terraces around Northcote Road and Battersea Rise — built between 1875 and 1895 — have generous suspended timber ground floors with reception rooms typically 4 to 4.5 metres wide. Original deal boards are frequently in excellent condition beneath old carpet. Wide-board engineered oak or a premium 80/20 wool twist carpet are both well-suited; the key preparatory step is plying the full floor to eliminate board flex before any hard product is fitted.
Yes — many properties on Battersea Park Road and in the streets around it have had multiple refurbishment phases that leave a patchwork of original suspended timber, later concrete patches and replacement boards. We survey the full floor on the free home visit, identify every substrate transition and level the whole area to a single continuous datum before fitting. This preparation is included in your fixed price.
Yes — we cover the full SW11 postcode including Clapham Junction, Lavender Hill and the surrounding streets, as well as SW8 and adjacent areas of south London. There is no call-out charge and we offer evening and Saturday home visits at no extra cost.
A one- or two-bedroom converted flat — a common property type in Battersea — typically takes one to two days from start to finish, including uplift of the existing floor. Victorian terraces converted to flats often need more preparation time to address subfloor variation; we factor this into your fixed price at the home visit so there are no surprises on the day.
